Gaye Warren, British founder of Bali Pink Ribbon and a breast cancer survivor mentioned this year has felt at times like lives were on hold but one thing that hasn’t stopped throughout the pandemic is breast cancer. Cancer waits for no one. We must continue to make progress for people affected by cancer, who have never needed us more.
Despite canceled galas, auctions and fundraisers which underline giving to charity, Bali Pink Ribbon continues to provide friendly active support for breast cancer patients and their carers during monthly gatherings held online via Instagram Live.

The Annual 2020 Bali Pink Ribbon 5K Virtual Walk and Fun Run
The Bali Pink Ribbon 5K Walk and Fun Run took place on 24-25 October, following the cancellation of the annual event due to the pandemic. For the first ever virtual Bali Pink Ribbon Walk and Run, participants were asked to take on their own ‘race’ distance over a weekend of celebration on 24 and 25 October and raise funds.
The virtual event was joined by 300 supporters of all ages and abilities,
with participants encouraged to choose somewhere in the local neighborhood, such as a park or a garden and ‘race’ their distance, their way.
Participants signed up for the race on 99 Virtual Race application available on AppStore and PlayStore. By participating, the runner donates IDR 60K to support Bali Pink Ribbon’s social campaigns and activities.
