Welcome to the 3rd edition of Bali Pink Ribbon Newsletter for 2019

We have many events and updates to share with you.

We are gearing up for preparations of our second road show to Sumba, scheduled for August. The event served is seeking to reach more than 300 women in remote villages, in cooperation with the regional government of Lombok and health department, supported by our medical Partner, Prima Medika Hospital and FeM Surgery Singapore. We are happy to share the update the fundraising event together with the BPR Indonesian volunteers, on Kartini day.

Feature Event: Kartini Day
We are happy to share the update the fundraising event together with the BPR Indonesian volunteers, on Kartini day, April 2i. We give a high note of appreciation from the Board for the time and effort of all volunteers. This event is a good way to get the message out of ‘for charity’ more prominently to the Indonesian community for a future Charity event which is purely to help Indonesian women. The funds raised are to go towards costs of our Sumba Roadshow which is much appreciated.

Events in May

May is the month of giving. Early during this month we proudly received the donations from Avenue A Restaurant, Berawa, Canggu, the Westin Resort Nusa Dua, and Bamboo Blonde.

In mid May, BPR team conducted breast cancer seminar and manual screening at Finns Recreational Club Canggu followed by a visit to Kantor Kecamatan Denpasar Barat, request from PKK Denpasar Barat.

On May 25, the support group gathering collaborated with Anand Ashram Foundation, Healing Meditation for Breast Cancer Fighters.

The last day of May, BPR team held a breast cancer seminar at Hall of Faculty of Cultural Studies, request from Students of Faculty of Social and political Sciences, Udayana University

Events in June
On June 15, survivors and patients joined the Gong Bath for breast cancer patients and survivors at Samadi Canggu. While during end of the month for the support group gathering, in collaboration with Anand Ashram Foundation, Healing Meditation for Breast Cancer Fighters.

Upcoming Events
Pinktober Fund Raising event

This year, BPR collaboration plans to collaborate with COMO Uma Canggu for a fund raising evening, on Saturday, 12 October. Tickets price will be IDR 900K net per person including ‘free flow of pink cocktails, imported white spirits, local wines, beers and soft drinks along with a selection of the Executive Chef’s  special canapés. Funds raised during this event will be used for setting up a women only breast cancer clinic in Bali.
